- March 15 (Lesson 2) Checkmates using various pieces: Castling; Basic
Tactical Moves and Strategy. Pins, forks, X-Rays, etc.
- March 22 (Lesson 3) Annotation (Writing down moves):
How to and Why... What to do after a game... Analysis machines
(Fritz 12).
- March 29 (Lesson 4) Middlegame Theory- Aims; Terms
"Bad bishops", "outpost", "open file", etc.
- April 19 (Lesson 5) Endgame theory -Aims:
Terms "Zugswang", Counting squares for the King, Opposition, Triangulation,
etc.
- April 26 (Lesson 6) Coaching a club/team.
Participating in a league. Entering a tournament. Improving
tournament performance
- May 10 (Lesson 7) Becoming a Tournament
Director. USCF and ratings. Swiss System tournaments.
